In this blog article, I would like to reveal some secret tips from my experiences, like how any traveler can enjoy traveling Malaysia in a different way that nobody tells…
Malaysia is a country with diverse cultures, cuisines, and landscapes. But what makes Malaysia stand out from the rest of Southeast Asia?
It’s the “Malaysian Way of Life”—a perfect fusion of traditions, modernity, and natural beauty.
Here’s a list of 8 things you must try during your visit to truly experience the magic of Malaysia.
1. Hike the Hills: Discover Malaysia’s Hidden Trails
For hiking enthusiasts, Malaysia offers some stunning trails that will allow you to experience the natural beauty and the wonderful places of the country.
It’s not just about the views; it’s about immersing yourself in the fresh air, connecting with nature, and seeing Malaysia from a different angle.
2. Best Hiking Trails Near Kuala Lumpur:
• Bukit Tabur: Just 30 minutes from Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Tabur offers a hike with breathtaking views of the limestone hills surrounding the klang city. It’s known for its challenging terrain, making it perfect for avid hikers.
• Bukit Broga: one of my most favorite hiking trails is Braga Hills, which is also called Bukit Braga. I went there along with my wife last year. One thing you must ensure before hiking to Bro Hills is you must be very strong enough to hike this long trail even though the journey was so struggling, but finally when we climbed up the hill top, all of our tiredness has gone after watching the breathtaking views from the Hills. I can 100% figure out what you will enjoy, but I go month to start your journey earlier in the morning if you want to see the sunrise there or in the afternoon to see the standing views of sunset. I will also recommend you to go with travel groups if possible and bring all necessary equipment like water, hiking shoes, a small umbrella, etc..
A relatively easy hike near Semenyih, this is a great spot for those who want a quick escape from the city. The summit provides panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, making it perfect for photography enthusiasts.

• FRIM (Forest Research Institute Malaysia): For a more serene hike, FRIM offers a variety of trails in the lush rainforest, including a canopy walkway that offers a unique bird’s eye view of the forest.
